The term FUE- Follicular Unit Extraction, the patient who undergoes hair transplants often come across this terms.
Without removing strip tissue, singular extraction of each hair follicle is involved under the procedure of Follicular Unit Extraction. Minimum and unnoticeable changes in the donor area are caused due to Random removal of hair follicle. As compare to the traditional FUT procedure, it is beneficial for the removal of lesser hair because fewer amount of hair are transplanted as the follicles are removed one at a time.
Usage of specialized equipment consisting of a needle, which has a diameter less than one mm, is used for the removal of singular hair follicles, under the procedure of FUE. At the base of the hair follicles the needle is targeted. A circular incision is made at this spot. To displace the hair follicle from the scalp, another instrument similar to tweezers, is used.
Post- Surgery Care
In Follicular Unit Extraction, stretches are not needed. There is also no Post Surgery discomfort. Generally healing time is less because the occurrence of any scar is absent. But it is very common that, presence of diameter of 1 mm or less, puncture marks are visible. Within 3 to 7 days these marks heal by themselves. Once again to look the hair natural it takes 3to 6 months. From the very next day after the procedure is done you can resume to daily activities because the initial scars heal quickly.
